Background:
Currently, the legislative council under MoJ of Japan is discussing introducing a joint custody system to Japan. But many people think that the discussion is superficial and doubtful whether joint custody will be implemented in Japan. Knowledgeable people are afraid that a selective joint custody system might be adopted, which is almost nothing different from a single custody system in substance. The renowned lawyers who support joint custody will discuss the problem.
